track 2. LOVE ON MY SIDEA favourite groove-ballad of mine. Lovely vibe on it with nice subtle changes and awesome B V's from my good friend Mo!
track 4. THE HARDEST THING TO SAYI really love this ballad. Nice feel to it and really lovely structure. This is the one that's getting the most comments ; along with the title track!
track 5. I DO BELIEVEIf you like Stevie Wonder then you'll love this! Very Stevie-esque changes;harmonies and a subtle groove make this my favourite. A musicians' choice!
track 6. THE MAN INSIDETitle track from the album. Lovely song ; nice feel ; nice lyrics and musically interesting!
What else can I say?
track 7. GOIN' CRAZYThis is one I wrote absolutely ages ago and is the most commercial sounding ; I think. Really catchy chorus ; good structure ; again with very musical changes and a fab groove to boot!
track 8. YOU'RE MINEGreat groove to this one! Really nice hooks and good structure and a fab ending! Again ; my influences become very clear once you listen!
track 9. SPEND A LITTLE TIME WITH METhis is really a female ballad but it still works ok with Eddie providing the vocals. Nice song with a good big chorus and good hook. A commercial sounding ballad.
track 10. DO YOU WANNA GET FUNKY?I see this as a filler track and there are 2 on the CD - every CD has them! Based around a minor blues with a groove. Still works well but not my favourite.
track 11. 2 B WITH UThis is the 2nd filler! Fairly typical "pop" song.
The CD has a good mix of styles and different grooves.
track 12. YOU'RE GONEThe only song on the album that's co-written. Really lovely "standard" based song that would work so well in a smokey club with a great trio and a cool vocalist like Sinatra or Bobby Darin.
I've written other standard-type stuff that I hope to showcase soon!
